Order Details 

All information provided to Small Axe Deli via online order, email or telephone is deemed to be correct and final unless otherwise specified, including the delivery address, delivery time, dates, contact details and items placed.
Any incorrect information that has not been rectified prior to 3:00pm the working day before, may result in 100% of the original invoice being charged to the Client without any changes being facilitated. It is at the discretion of Small Axe Deli as to whether items are to be credited.

Dietary Requirements

Small Axe Deli is an open kitchen therefore cannot guarantee there won’t be traces of nuts, egg, dairy, gluten and other known allergens; Small Axe Deli will not accept any responsibility or liability for any adverse reactions to any food items prepared in our kitchens. It is the client’s responsibility to notify Small Axe Deli of any dietary requirements and allergens; if the request cannot be met, the client will be notified.

Confirmation of Orders

Once verbal or written confirmation to proceed with an order has been received, an order confirmation email will be sent to the customer. All catering order confirmations must be received by 3pm 3 days prior to the function, unless for Monday functions where confirmation is required by 3pm on the Thursday prior.

The client must notify Small Axe Deli immediately if:

-A confirmation email is not received
-A confirmation email has been received incorrectly
-There are discrepancies within the order confirmation 

Any discrepancies that Small Axe Deli has not been notified of prior to the delivery or cut off times may result in the client being charged full price. All orders and invoices are subject to Small Axe Terms and Conditions. 

Minimum orders & delivery fees

Weekdays

Minimum order of $250 for delivery within 10km of Small Axe Deli applies for a flat delivery fee of $50*. Delivery up 25km from Small Axe Deli is attracts a delivery fee of $99* and is accepted on a case by case basis. Minimum order of $250 still applies.

Weekends

Minimum order of $500 and $90* delivery fee within 10km of Small Axe Deli. Delivery on weekends greater than 10km from Small Axe Deli POA.

*Delivery fees may vary depending on your location, day and time. We appreciate the importance of keeping within budget so there are times we can calculate a custom delivery arrangement if suitable.

Delivery of Goods

It is the client’s responsibility to make sure that the correct delivery address, delivery instructions and contact details are provided when placing an order, and that someone is there to collect the order on the day unless otherwise specified.
Small Axe Deli will endeavour to deliver orders as close to the requested delivery time as possible, taking into consideration of any expected traffic conditions. Cold items may be delivered up to 90 minutes and hot items up to 20minutes prior the requested time delivery time. 

In the instance that no one is available to accept the delivery, and there is no where safe to leave the goods, items will be returned to Small Axe Deli n Brunswick for the client to collect. If redelivery is arranged additional delivery fees will be payable.
Small Axe Deli will not be held responsible for any unforeseeable or major delays such as accidents, construction works, disasters, riots, protests, marches, parades, rallies, strikes, criminal attacks and/or extreme traffic. If goods cannot be delivered due to unexpected city shutdowns, orders will be charged at 100% to the client.

Corporate / group deliveries

Pick up orders

Orders placed by 3pm Monday - Friday will be ready for collection after 1pm the following day.

Orders placed by midnight Sunday will be ready for collection after 1pm on Mondays.

Please wait for confirmation email before collecting.

Please notify us of any specific collection requirements.

Staff

All staff bookings have a minimum of 3 hours as per industry standards. Clients will be invoiced for any overtime post event. Mon-Fri wait staff - $70ph, Sat-Sun Wait staff - $90ph, Mon-Fri Chef $180ph, Sat-Sun Chef $250ph.

Any cancellations to staff within 48 hours of event will be charged at 50%

On Site Facilities

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that all catering work (including cooking when arranged) can be undertaken in the event space. Small Axe Deli takes no responsibility for smoke detectors not being isolated and/or building management’s acknowledgement of works.
Any cost for smoke detectors or fire systems being activated, including sprinkler systems, will be at the cost of the client, including but not limited to fire brigade call out fees, clean up fees and/or replacement of food. 

Bad Weather

It is the client’s responsibility to have a contingency plan for bad weather. Small Axe Deli will accommodate for any changes to venue however set up and relocation fees may apply. 100% of the order/invoice will be required to be paid if the function is cancelled on the day.  

Goods & Services Tax (GST)

All prices are in Australian Dollars. All prices include GST and are subject to change without notice. 

Pricing Fluctuations

All prices are correct at time of printing and are quoted on current costs however these costs may vary at any time.
Due to seasonal or supplier shortages Small Axe Deli reserves the right to alter or adapt menus or services.
The latest prices are published on Small Axe Deli website and not on any downloadable menus or content. 

Cancellations / Reschedule

Cancellation or rescheduling of a confirmed order must be provided in writing via email. Failure to pay a deposit or failure to notify Small Axe Deli that a confirmed order is not to proceed will not be considered as a cancellation.
Penalties may apply when orders have been cancelled and there were costs incurred through labour, ordered stock and/or food preparation; incurred costs of up to 100% of the order. Administration fees for late cancellations may also apply. 

Cancellations must be received 72 hours prior to delivery/collection date

Any cancellations within 72 hours will result in 100% charge for the service staff; the total amount charged will be at Small Axe Deli discretion. 

Amendments & Late Order Fees

If any amendments are required after our cut off times or notice period, a minimum administration fee of at $20 may apply. This may also apply to delivery time adjustments or late orders after our cut times. 

Pick Up Fees

The service staff at the end of the function need to be able to pack up all platters and equipment. Small Axe Deli may need to come back to do the final collection. This is will be discussed and approved prior to the function. If we are not able to take equipment due to clients request, a pick up fee will apply.

Payment and Terms

All invoices are Net 7 days from invoiced date unless other arrangements have been agreed upon with Small Axe Deli.
Full payment of invoice/order is required prior to delivery or collection of goods.

The following payment options are accepted:

-Credit cards; VISA/MasterCard/AMEX (1.8% surcharge)
-EFT

Lost or Broken Equipment
All clients will be held accountable for all hired equipment including non-disposable platters; replacement costs for any lost or broken equipment will be invoiced.

Refund

Any payment made for cancelled order are within the appropriate cancellation may be valid for a credit. If refund is requested a administration fee will apply. Any items that are not sent or not to your satisfactions will be subject to refund.  

Sourcing of Ingredients & Supply Issues

Due to extreme weather, COVID and other local and world events, many suppliers are facing issues of sourcing ingredients and manufacturing of goods, this also includes staffing, labour and transportation issues. Ingredients may not be available at the time of ordering or manufacturing, and may not be made aware to Small Axe Deli at the time of placing your order. Small Axe Deli may need to substitute ingredients and/or products without notice or client approval. We will endeavour to work with you and let you know of any changes.
